  This restaurant is my favorite. A friendly and great restaurant.The menu does exist of several dishes from which you can choose every course. And I can tell you, all the dishes are so tasteful. You pay one amount for the menu (without drinks). It’s also a unique restaurant, because young people get a new chance after not being successful at school. Visit website

  An urban frenchy restaurant If you like to diner in a good ambiance with friends or family/ Then this is a great and beautiful decorated restaurant. The beautiful dome on the roof brings in a magical daylight or a starry sky at night. The signature of the restaurant is Côte de Boeuf or Lobster. On Sunday you can do the Oyster

  A good restaurant for a fair price. Hidden in a small alley, you will find this little pearl. Good food for good prices! Visit website

  Spanish delicatessen shop.”The most amazing tapas and sandwiches”. If you want a takeaway sandwich, this is the place! I don’t need to say more…
• Broodje van Toen

• Dodici
  Vivere la dolce vita. I often have lunch here. Very tasty dishes. For a good breakfast in the morning or an Antipasti in the afternoon. “Gezelligheid” guaranteed! Visit website

  All day brunch by Teds. Situated near Het Spaarne. A good spot for brunch or lunch. Not a very large menu, but whatever you choose is very tasty. Visit website

BARS

• De Jopenkerk
  After wandering through this beautiful city, take a stop at the Jopenkerk. Here you can buy a Haarlems brewed beer named Jopen! The waiters are glad to tell you all about it. Enjoy your stay between the copper kettles and take a typical Dutch snack “the bitterball”. Visit website

  A good place to have a drink with your friends. Summer and winter (with heater) there is a nice terrace. Every Tuesday it’s Steak Frites night for 10 euros. Visit website

  If you’re a true coffee lover. Then this V-bar is the place to be! The barista brings you an excellent cup of coffee. The Cappuccino is the best! It is also the hotspot for breakfast or a healthy lunch. Visit website

THINGS TO DO

• The Basilique St. Bavo
  This unique cathedral is compared with Sagrada Familia, Sacre-Coeur and Westminster Cathedral. Do you like a unique experience, then a visit to “the creatures of the cathedral” is a must. MUSEUMS 

• Anno Haarlem

  In a cellar under the townhall you will find a small museum where the history of Haarlem is explained. A short animation film shows you the existence of Haarlem. Entrance is free.
• Frans Hals Museum
  If you’re a lover of ancient art, you can’t miss this museum. Art from the 16th and 17th century are exhibited in several rooms, peaking at the room with the shooter pieces of Frans Hals. If you prefer modern art, at the Grote Markt you will find an auxiliary branche of this museum. Visit website
